Who are we?

"We are a couple of beggars trying to show other beggars where to find bread."

We are christian and don’t know how to live or want to live without Jesus.  That isn’t a trite comment, just one from the heart.  We have been married 20 years and each year gets better.  Only God can make a marriage like ours.  Julie and I are simply not capable of the kind of patience and grace that has been shown in our relationship.  If you would like to have this kind of marriage let me give you a couple of tips:

1. Start going to a balanced bible-centered church
2. Get involved in a small group as a couple through your church
3. Get involved in a small group individually (Men/Women)
4. Put the needs of your spouse first
5. Love through the problems.  Love is a decision not a feeling
6. Make your relationship with Jesus first in your life and in your marriage

If you will take every day as a chance to put these principles into your life you will find that your marriage will be stronger and you will love one another more than you ever thought possible.

Julie and I live in Georgia and we adopted our first child, Joshua in the summer of 2007 from China.  We attend Bridgeway Church and look forward each sunday to great worship and an incredible message from our pastor.

We started this site as a means to record our story of Joshua’s adoption but now we enjoy recording our new life as a family and the joys and struggles that life has for us.  One thing we know for sure is that God is good and we are blessed to be counted as His children!
