Gung Hay Fat Choy!!
Happy Chinese New Year! Today is the first day of the New Year on the Chinese calendar. It is the year of the rat; the first animal in the 12 year cycle. Joshua has been celebrating with his friends at Ms. Jenny’s house. The kids made red lanterns and carried them in a parade. We made paper fireworks and shot off streamers as we shouted "Gung Hay Fat Choy". Everyone ate lunch with chopsticks and tomorrow we will finish our week of celebration with a Dragon parade. Check back again soon as I hope to put up one or two more new posts this weekend. We have taken a trip to the aquarium, played in the snow, celebrated our 6 month anniversary as a family, and scheduled some surgeries, so there is a lot to post about.
